Be Positive Be Green!
Has your business made a concerted effort to reduce its Carbon Footprint this year? If so, the Federation of Small Businesses would like to hear from you!
The FSB’s Be Positive Be Green Award is open to all businesses in Chester and North Wales and seeks to recognise and reward those busnesses which have made a real effort to minimise their effect on the local environment.
The award will be in two categories – one for businesses with 5 or less employees and one for businesses with between 6 and 200 employees. There will be a cash prize of £250.00 and a sculpture made by a local artist out of recycled materials for each category.
Winners will be announced at the FSB’s Chester and Wrexham’s Branch Be Positive Be Green Evening – on September 23rd 2010 7.30 at the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel in Chester.
At the Be Positive Be Green Evening there will be representatives from ACS Ltd Wrexham giving a talk on Heat Pumps to save energy, Sharp Manufacturing telling how they have won their environmental awards and Green Achiever giving the benefits of how a green award can improve your business. The Carbon Trust will also be giving advice on their 0% interest loans for reducing carbon emissions. The evening will also be a chance to meet other small business owners to exchange information, advice and support.
